Figured I’d give a mini update before I divulge on the entire recap of 30 days of Yetti. I have managed to get myself into something every weekend this month, which is a complete turn around from my usual lounge-fests formally known as Saturday and Sunday. I am trying my best to take pictures as the events happen but… well… you know the deal. I sometimes just do not get to it.
I do have stories to share… so many stories (videos too). As stated before, this month will be full of shenanigans and fuckery, and I think I have had more than I expected already.
But to be completely honest with you guys, this week has been incredibly rough and emotional for me (so I guess that would be a typical week, eh?). Not sure what it is, not sure if it’s stress, but being happy cheerful Yetti has taken quite a bit of work. So in efforts to pull myself out of my funk before another evening of events I may or may not remember, I wanted to touch upon a recent observation.
One thing I have noticed while digging through all of my favorite blogs, mine included… we all sometimes forget to be thankful for ourselves. We make the same list of what we are thankful for, include our family and friends, our health and other typical things, but we never mention ourselves. So here is an ammendmant to my list from yesterday.
I am so thankful for me, sometimes bipolar, sarcastic and always indecisive me. I am thankful for my never ending search for a happy and joyous life. I am thankful for my mind that takes a flogging on a daily bases. I am thankful for the my internal and external struggles that forever keeping me guessing on what comes next. I am thankful for my obsessive ways that keep my blood pressure high and raging. I am thankful for the aches and pains my heart endures, teaching me to be careful on who I trust and who I open up to. I am thankful for my so-called welcoming face that attracts the crazies and sometimes normal strangers I encounter in the streets of NYC. I am thankful for me, and that’s that.
P.S. Happy Black Friday to all of my fellow serial shoppers, we are the only ones that know that this is the true holiday of the season.
